Meet Your Leaders!!

Shirley Spall is our department chairperson and advanced level trainer. She takes care of all our obedience levels and agility, and makes sure there are leaders or people to help out during training as needed.  She has been involved with the dog project for over ten years, and has been involved with competitive dog training for longer!  She competes in obedience, rally, and agility with her dogs, and is also an AKC approved Rally judge.

Mary Simpson is another main leader, but works mostly with out first year large dogs.  She also heads up our leader dog program for the county.  She has been involved for many years, she went through 4-H as a 4-h'er herself, and now as a leader!  She is very involved with Leader Dogs for the Blind as a puppy raiser and a training counselor, and has judged other county 4-H dog competitions!

Chari Patterson works with our first year small dogs and also heads up our showmanship classes.  She has been involved in our club for many years, and has worked miracles with our showmanship kids!  She has been breeding, showing, and training her Irish Setters for many years, and also is a dog show handler at conformation shows and AKC approved Rally judge.

Colleen Miller works with our beginner kids.  She has been training dogs for many years, and has experience competing competitively in AKC obedience with German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers.  She also is diving into a new breed, and currently has 2 Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers.  She also was a dog groomer for many years.

Brittany Jones helps Mary out with the first year 4-H'ers, advanced obedience sometimes and showmanship.  Brittany was a 9 year 4-H member and has come back as a leader.  She competes in many venues of dog competition including: Conformation, obedience, hunt tests, and rallly.  She also handles dogs at conformation shows as a side job, and is a Indiana 4-H dog project judge.

Olivia Huston is a 4-H graduate also.  She competes with her Golden Retrievers in many AKC events such as: Conformation, Obedience, Rally, and agility.

Tiffany Neal is another 4-H graduate and works with some of our beginner kids.  She has 3 Doberman Pinchers, Shetland Sheepdogs, and a wonderful pit bull!  She competes in a multitude of AKC events such as Conformation, Obedience, Rally, and tracking.  She also is working with agility and protection work.
